Mission

We work with individuals, families and community groups to identify their needs and provide information on a range of options available to them. We support them to access services and resources that meet their needs and build new skills to adjust harmonically to the Cypriot cultural and social environment.

Objectives

Properly trained and qualified personnel, based on a person-centred approach respond to migrants’ general and more specific needs. The Centers’ comprehensive approach covers many issues related to the settlement and integration of new and emerging communities.

Through our service delivery we aim:

  • To contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of asylum seekers, refugees and migrants.
  • To contribute to the social inclusion process of refugees and migrants living across Cyprus.

MIC provides a comprehensive service offering professional, timely advice to a wide and inclusive client group, including: asylum seekers, refugees, and other vulnerable migrants. Beneficiaries will access free, seamless, wrap around expert advice and support at crucial times in their lives. Priority will be given to the areas of immigration, housing and destitution, welfare and health. MIC looks forward to collaborate with NGOS and partners in governmental departments, to complement each other’s work in order to effectively and efficiently address the needs of the most vulnerable individuals amongst new and emerging communities.

More importantly MIC services are offered to semi-urban and rural areas by a mobile unit (InfoBus) that visits different regions in order to serve migrants within the framework of outreach psychosocial support services.
