As part of the Community Football Tournament, which promotes wellbeing through sports, the Migrant Information Centers of Famagusta and Nicosia, in collaboration with the Dream Big organization, held an informative presentation titled “Mental Health Awareness Presentation” on Sunday, 29 June 2025 at 11:00 a.m., at the Futsal fields in Nicosia.

The presentation took place just before the start of the match and was addressed to both the spectators and the football players.

This initiative falls within the broader framework of psychoeducation and community empowerment, approaching the topic of mental health through a holistic and participatory perspective.

By combining sports with awareness-raising, the event aimed to empower the Cameroonian community in Cyprus, encourage seeking support through their own networks, promote understanding of common mental health challenges, and help eliminate the stigma often associated with these issues.

The strong participation, enthusiasm, and engagement of attendees confirm the ongoing need for similar actions that promote mental wellbeing and collective care.
